Dear readers,
I wanted to use this particular post to tell you about my most recent articles around the web. It’s always an honor to publish them on various sites, with the hope of reaching new eyes and hearts. I would love for you to check out the following articles and take a look around all of these sites, because there is unique value to each one of them for different reasons. There is a wealth of great stuff out there, and I feel privileged to contribute to the many platforms that extend far beyond my little blog home here. If you are ever interested in my previous publications around the web, visit my page to see my list of articles I have published over the past several years HERE. (It’s also on my sidebar- the top coffee cup that lightens up when you hover over it? Isn’t that SO cool? Yeah, click on it and Voilà!) I’m proud of that list, and I value every one of those publishing experiences.
First up is an original piece I published on Sammiches and Psych Meds, about being a mom with a cold. “I Have A Cold. In Other Words, I’m Dying.” Yep. Have you been there? When you have fallen ill and feel all kinds of miserable, yet motherhood keeps moving you on, despite your debilitating symptoms? I think we’ve all been there, amIright? If you are suffering from a massive cold, or remember a time you did- this one’s for you, mama. We rarely have an audience to hear our selfish cries, because we’re too busy mothering our kids. We deserve a little pity party once in a while, don’t we?
Surely, we are all aware of the negativity that has infiltrated our lives with the political landscape evoking extreme rage, hate, and down right despicable behavior. I was grateful to have BluntMoms publish my piece “Five Simple Ways To Show Kindness” and I can only hope this message hits the hearts of people everywhere. We need more of it, don’t we?
And as Election day has come and gone, in the midst of this madness I was honored to have Her View From Home pick up my piece, “Come Election Day God Still Reigns” to offer hope to more people about God’s place in this historical presidential mess that continues to unfold. I was thrilled to see it be well received through the aftermath of the Election day results.
Next up, I have the great pleasure of being interviewed on my dear friend Allie’s blog, The Latchkey Mom, where she does regular interviews with various authors for her series, “The Books of My Life.” It was a blast to be over there and answer her questions about my reading habits, my interests, and my perspective on all things BOOKS! She also said some really beautiful things about me, that made my cry. #SAP. I love her and our friendship means the world to me.
And lastly, I shared a very personal story on For Every Mom about my preventative surgery after learning I had the BRCA1 genetic mutation. This piece isn’t just about that, but more about my husband… You will get an intimate view into my recovery and his enduring love. It’s one of my favorites for so many reasons and I’m grateful to have it published there along with information about my book. “A Double Mastectomy, Full Hysterectomy, and 4 Words From My Husband I’ll Never Forget.”
And to top off all this wonderful stuff, I have exciting news! My book “Help and Hope While You’re Healing: A woman’s guide toward wellness, while recovering from injury, surgery, or illness” will be coming out on KINDLE soon! People will have the option to download it with the low price of $4.99. Announcement coming NEXT WEEK!

You are just so wonderful, Marie. Thank you so much for always being such a good friend. <3

This is so great! I read your piece about BRCA and absolutely loved it! You are an amazing woman, Christine! I had my genetic testing done about two years ago and was positive they would find something, but nope, nothing. They just say there must be a genetic component somewhere since my mom and I were both diagnosed so young, but they don’t know what it is yet. I was still happy with the results. 🙂
momcafe says
I wondered if you had the test done, Ginny. I suppose that’s good news for the next generations to come, but yeah- I think they have a whole world of research yet to explore on the genetic variables involved.
Thanks so much for reading that piece. I KNOW you can surely relate and YOU are the warriors I speak of when I say I’m inspired by the many women who have BATTLED the FIGHT. <3
My Inner Chick says
