Prom season is fast approaching, and I know so many of my friends have daughters that will be anxiously preparing for their Prom! My Cassidy is far too young for this gig, yet. But dare I dream what she would look like years from now? Dare I envision my beautiful girl draped in elegance and clothed in dignity? Indulge me, would you?
JJsHouse contacted me to share their site, and as I marveled at the beauty of the Prom dresses with dreamy eyes, I wondered…
“What will she be like, years from now?”
Will she be wise and mature and full of grace and integrity?
Oh I pray so.
Will she understand the depths of her beauty that lie far beyond her gorgeous blue eyes and blonde streaks that light her hair with that undeniable natural glow? Will she realize that living takes self-drive and responsibility and discipline? Will she be faithful in believing that her path has a purpose?
Oh I pray so.
And I wonder…
Will she have class and elegance that radiates beyond her years?
Perhaps she stirs with aspiring dreams that light up her soul…
And dare I delight in the man she picks to escort her to a dance?
A gentleman.
A man who respects her for who she is, and honors her in every way. A man of integrity and accountability and dependability… A man who was chosen because of his beliefs, not to belong. A man who adores her quirky ways and realizes her potential. A man she falls for, for all the right reasons…
Oh, how I pray.
And I wonder.
Would she choose virtue in class, over indignant sass? Would she choose her dress according to her self-worth and display such sophistication that it reflects self-confidence? Would she be mature enough to realize the value of her presence is worthy of wearing a dress that reinforces her style with exquisite taste and significance?
Oh, how I pray.
I dare to dream that she would…
I imagine her adorned in grace and above all- light. May a dress like any of these, simply be the garland wrapped around the gift that she is.
Oh, how I dare to dream.
If you have a daughter awaiting her prom, I pray you no longer dream the dream- but live it. JJHouse has a beautiful variety of dresses to choose from at phenomenal prices.

What gorgeous dresses! I find it hard to believe that my daughter will be there in no time at all. She dresses so grown up and classy…she has a great sense of style. I have no doubt when she gets there, she will pick out a beautiful dress.
You are lucky to have a classy daughter Michelle!!! I’m still working on that with mine… but I really don’t know how to teach classy, so we are going to wing it! LOL
What beautiful dresses. I just bet that girl of yours will do and be all those things you pray because, well, look at her mama. And I know it seems so far away right now, it’ll be here in the blink of an eye.
AW! You’re so sweet Laurie!! I can only pray- there’s a dark cruel world out there that may be more powerful than I- but not more powerful than God, right?
I am afraid to blink…
They are all so pretty and just reminded me of dress shopping for the prom when I was younger with my mom. I still have a few years for my own girls, but can’t believe I will most likely be prom shopping again as the mom. Time really does fly and we really do come full circle so many times!
They say in a “blink of an eye”- so I’m afraid to blink.
Lets go with Easter dresses for the Easter egg hunt, for now! lol
And yes- full circle. 🙂
I’ve begun the future prom dress dreaming a little bit. I’ve had a few glimpses into what it might be like since we’ve recently shopped for cute dresses for middle school dances. I have the same hopes you do … I don’t want to rush this, but I’ll be interested to see if reality and my wishes align!
Lets hope and pray together that they do align!! Middle school dresses are my next step… 😉
Great dresses. I don’t even want to think about my boys going to prom! But I do hope that they will be like that man of integrity and accountability and dependability you describe.
Oh how I believe they will BE, Jen!!! Matter of fact- lets set up my kiddos with yours, okay?? It could work!!!! 🙂
Gorgeous.
I feel like just yesterday, my mom was taking me to a far away mall that had a Jessica McClintock princess number that I had seen in a catalog.
It was magical.
And I bet you looked just like a princess too, T. I would put money on it!! 🙂
—–Christine,
you have much to look forward to, girl.
I have 2 boys and had the opportunity to take pictures w/ all of their dates, including PROM pictures. HOW fun.
I was like, “OOOO, I love that dress. Your shoes are fabulous. Where did you get your nails done, your hair?”
Savor the moments, dear. xxx
PS. I want the lemon yellow dress !!
HA! I love that I can picture you ALL ABOUT the girls’ dresses!!! And hair!! AND shoes!!! I just love that!
The yellow number is YOURS. 😉
Gorgeous dresses! My daughter still has a year or two yet before prom, but she preens over the pages of the Seventeen Prom issue like she preened over candy as a 3 year old! I can, yet can’t wait for those days!
HA! I love that Kate! I am so on board with your thinking girl! Can and can’t wait too… 😉
So I’m not technically GOING to a prom, but I kinda want those dresses for…church? Making dinner? Preschool drop-off?
I’m leaving now…
Me too… ME TOO!!!!!!! But here’s the thing- would we actually have to shower and shave?
Yeah. No.
😉
Beautiful dresses. And lovely wishes for your daughter to be everything you know she can be.
Thanks so much Karen!! I can only hope and pray that she rises to the best she can be. We have a few more years to navigate!!
I love these long, flow-y styles. I must admit that I’m so glad that we will just be shopping for rented tuxes. Girls in prom dresses are beautiful..but eeekkk.
Yeah- I get that. As I was ‘shopping around’, I kept praying “Oh Lord, please don’t let her turn on me and want to wear some of these profoundly SEXY dresses!!!!”
I can only hope… and pray!!!
Oh my! These are entirely gorgeous! Right now I love that my Sophie-Bird loves to wear basketball shorts and over-sized T-shirts but oh how I hope will choose to wear something as beautiful as these later!
Can you imagine our girls? Oh my…
They will be beautiful in anything they wear!! 🙂
This look just so gorgeous and make me sigh about the fact that I don’t have a daughter!! 🙂
AW!!! Perhaps you can buy your own, Roshni!!! Oh, you would look GAWGEOUS in them!!!!! 🙂
We’re not ready for prom yet, but I am buying my daughter her first bra tomorrow! She’s elated!! (I’m kinda excited too!)
WOOHOO!!!! FIRST BRA!!!! And tomorrow, it’ll be a Prom Dress. Sigh… 😉
