Some of you may have noticed, I haven’t been ‘around’ the blogosphere. I have been traveling and spending time with family, and will be off the grid for a few days. I truly miss my beloved blog peeps and can’t wait to catch up when I return! Over at 1Corinthians 13 Parenting, I recently shared a piece I wrote that has a lasting imprint on my heart and I want so desperately to always remember…

His Bread.
And yet He waits patiently.
Watching His Bread.
Out in the cold…
And His children not fed.
They scurry around aimlessly hungry.
While His gift has been spread.
Are we teaching our children to partake of His food?
Are we graciously guiding them toward His gift?
Are we filling pews, reading bibles, accepting invitations and help and fellowship?
Have we truly eaten His Bread?
Come visit me there, and share if you will, how you partake of His Bread…
And yet He waits patiently.
Watching His Bread.
Out in the cold…
And His children not fed.
They scurry around aimlessly hungry.
While His gift has been spread.
Are we teaching our children to partake of His food?
Are we graciously guiding them toward His gift?
Are we filling pews, reading bibles, accepting invitations and help and fellowship?
Have we truly eaten His Bread?

Have fun taking a bit of time off and seriously hope you enjoy. Hugs, Chris 🙂
You are such a love Janine! The trip was incredibly difficult actually. We are home and trying to recover from it all. Cass is really sick with her asthma taking over at this point. Sigh.
Adunno. I’ll come over and see whether it makes sense…
You’re a LOVE to give it a ‘try’… and I know now, that it was something for you to take in. And THAT makes me so very glad you did take the risk. I love you so so much. XOXO
*shrugs* I’m not sure I showed anyone anything. I think I’m busy being a squirrel, hiding in the bushes playing, putting my fingers in my ears about the winter, and neglecting to pay proper attention to the bread on the lawn.
BUT I’ll say this.
I’m always glad of you. And when I read your words, they challenge me.
Oh my heart… You just melted it in a beautiful and gorgeous way. SO grateful for you, and your lifeboat, and your words, and your sharpies, and your TIGGER attacks, and your reflex punches in the face. 😉
OH- and your LINES. Oh how I love your lines!! And your powerful images and verses and wisdom and encouragement and support and truth and love.
I think I’m done. Not sure though… 😉
Well, when you’re quite finished, we’ll hug it out 😀
*small shrug* Just pleased to have been helpful, yaknow.
We’ll roll around in the snow and hug it out soon… 🙂
I’d pass on the snow and take sunshine, if I could, but YES!
Ah…me and you both sister. How about a field of daisies in the sunshine? *Dreaming* 😀
Daisies and Pimms and strawberries and sunshine and no cares in the world. Would. Be. Perfection. Rightnow.
Pimms? Now there you go again… off to google that. LOL 😉
English, innit. English for SUMMERTIME IN A GLASS…
I looked it up! Give me some of THAT!!!!! 😉
Yes Ma’am (also, might I say, I think you’d be AMAZING if you were ever-so-slightly drunkish 😉 )
Oh I am SUPER FUN when I’ve had me some yummy drinkiepoos!!!! SUPER DUPER FUN!!! Like me Xs 500,000,000,000!!! Be warned. It’ll get TIGERLICIOUS CRAZY up in here in the daisy field!!! :p
*eyes sparkle* Ohhhhh how wonderful!!!! I SO want to get you drunk and see that happen… *glee*
I’ve been missing lately, too. I’m working on getting caught up and I’m looking forward to getting through some of your recent posts. Hope you are enjoying your time!
I miss you Lisa! I am back now, and hoping to do the same soon. I hope and pray you are doing okay… XO
Have a wonderful trip my friend! I’m catching up on your blog right now.
The trip was incredibly difficult, actually. Cass is now very sick and her asthma is in full flare. Glad to be home. Now we are all trying to recover and restore what was lost/broken and heal. Sigh…
As someone who’s just come back from going off the grid, let me encourage you to ENJOY every ounce of time and refreshment with travels and family! I’ve just been scrolling through your most recent posts to catch up. Let me say that I’ll be praying for your ten-year-old daughter, for certain.
Enjoy the rest!
Thanks so much dear friend. The trip didn’t turn out to be relaxing at all… and Cass ended up getting really sick and still is here at home. Sigh.
Hoping to recover and restore and replenish soon.
