Keurig Giveaway! Show Us Your Meltdown!

April 10, 2015 By momcafe 13 Comments

Motherhood… it can knock us to our knees or lift us to the mountain tops.  It’s quite a journey, full of twists and turns that sometimes leave us spiraling into an emotional, and unexpected meltdown. Moms. Kids. We all have them. I’ve been brought to tears by my kids almost as much as I bring them to tears.  It happens.

We do the best that we can, right?

You may recall last year I was included in an anthology called The Mother of All Meltdowns.  If you haven’t bought the book, you simply must!  With Mother’s Day approaching, it would be such a great gift to give any mom you know, because it’s full of those stories that weave a common thread of motherhood.  In it, there are moments shared of heartache and laughter.  It is the perfect gift to give because it reflects what we all endure in this amazing life we lead as mothers.

And now, we want to help moms – many who survive off of coffee, tea or any other hot beverage that can soothe our frazzled nerves – by offering a fun contest leading up to Mother’s Day.

We know many moms would have a complete meltdown without their coffee or tea, so this Mother’s Day, we are giving away a brand new Keurig 2.0! YES!  A gift for some mom out there who really could use it!  All you have to do is share photos of your meltdowns, what causes them, what soothes them – anything goes!

It could be a photo of the overwhelming stacks of papers that come home from school with your child every day, a shot of your car that everyone uses as a trash can, or of you hiding in the closet from your family eating chocolate. Whatever represents your meltdown is fair game.

Post your image to The Mother of All Meltdowns Facebook page or tweet it to us using the hashtag #MyMotherofAllMeltdowns between April 10 and April 30.

On May 1, the co-authors of The Mother of All Meltdowns (including me!) will choose 3 finalists as a group. Those finalists will be notified via The Mother of All Meltdowns Facebook page and Twitter account. Finalists can promote their pics in order to get likes, retweets, etc. We will announce the winner on May 8.

I wish I could photograph other people’s kids and win the prize. Is it wrong if I *induce* a meltdown and then capture it? Just thinking out loud …
