“My Awesome World”

January 21, 2013 By momcafe 42 Comments

“My Awsome World”

By Cassidy Carter

Age 9

My precious daughter brought home an essay she wrote during recess.  I found it worthy of publishing here, despite her 4th grade errors…

“My Awsome World”

If I could choose to create my own world I would make it like this.

I would have NO bad guys, NO trageitys, NO weapons, NO wars, and NO drugs or bad drinks.

I wish no one is poor.

I wish everyone could have freedom on Earth.

I would make all food good for you.  P.S. even candy!

I would make everyone rich.

In my world, I would NEVER have anyone abuse children.

I wish all children would go to school.

Everyone would be treated the same.

And also, no bullying.

Oh, and I wish everything was made out of my faverite foods.

Yes…there is a bit of a food theme threaded through this ‘Awesome World’ idea.  My girl likes to eat!   But wouldn’t this be an awesome world?  I certainly don’t mind her food idea, cause clearly she gets the love of food from her mother.  🙂

I didn’t want to change it a bit…not even the grammar or spelling…cause it’s hers.  All hers.

I love her attitude! She has a great position on food. I think that’s so important given the obesity epidemic. I hope Cassidy reads everyones comments because she did such a great job with this.

What a smart girl… out of the mouth of babes. Children often see things clearer than adults. It’s really pretty simple.. If we lived the way Cassidy wants… life would be grand. Maybe children can inspire adults to be kinder, warmer, and more compassionate as well. Plus, you can’t go wrong with the food thing… Who doesn’t like candy?!?! Ha!!

What a sweetheart! I love this and the 4th grade errors make it all the sweeter! I want to live in her world. Why can’t the rest of the world get on board with the simple things? Why do us adults muck everything up?
