Oh Mother… Your Mission Never Ends

April 4, 2014 By momcafe 26 Comments

Your Mission Never Ends

Oh mother, oh mother

What challenge awaits your day?

Stay strong and endure

The “endless road” some say!

Mother, ah… Mother

Embrace each moment or

You’ll look back and wonder

Was there so much more?

Oh Mother, dear Mother

The winding road you’ll see

That when the path takes a turn

Another road will be.

Oh Mother, Mother, Mother….

Your days shine on and on

Full of victory and triumph

And failures come and gone.

So Mother, Mom, or Mommy

Whatever stage your in

Remember that it ends

And a new one will begin.

Each season will inspire

New twists and turns and bends

Hold on tight, with all your might

Your mission never ends.

    “Remember that it ends

And a new one will begin.”

Love this line! Whenever the going gets tough, I try to remember that everything is a phase…and someday I’ll long for the very struggles I’m facing now. I’m working on valuing both the good times and the challenging ones.

Oh it’s just so hard when we are ‘in it’ isn’t it? But oh as time goes on, I am learning to embrace each and every season of this mission. There is something so beautiful in how it unfolds…

I wrote this a while ago- back in my solitary blog days! There’s a bunch more to this- but I wanted to do a ‘quickie’ that encapsulates the message. 🙂

Thank you so much. I’m already dreading the days when my sweet little boys will be big boys. This is so encouraging. That teen adventure may just as wonderful.

Every season has its own worth… Lord only knows how they will present themselves! But God’s plan for us and our children will be perfect amidst the growing pains and relentless joy! I love that every single day, our kids are changing right before our eyes. Blows me away really. WOW.

I’m at the stage when they only call home when they need money. At least with one of mine. The other is going crazy trying to have a baby. There will always be at a different stage, no matter how old they get.

Very timely read for me. I had to take my kid to the clinic again today because her cough is just not going away! They took an xray and we have to go back tomorrow. Also had to go straight to work right after. 🙁

Ugh… that sounds draining Jhanis. Motherhood. Yup. I hope she is doing better now? Sick children can pull us under. Oh, do I know this!
