Prague…The Trip of a Lifetime

October 1, 2014 By momcafe 69 Comments

It’s good to be back…

But it was wonderful to go.ย

To take those steps into the new, the leaps into the air going far away with my best friend, my love.ย  It was a trip of a lifetime, both random and purposeful.ย  To spend several days alone with my man in a far away city lining streets of beauty and history was a dream come true.

On our way to Prague

All my prayers for safety and health were abundantly blessed.ย  We are all united under one roof again with tired and contented spirits, full of gratitude for who we are and what we have.

It’s good to be back…

And I hold on to the memories forever.

It was glorious.

View from hotel

And breathtaking.

And overwhelming.

And inspiring.

Love this post. That romantic picture is beautiful! My husband is on his way to Poland for work with a colleague who is headed to Prague by way of tacking on some time after the work trip! I kept showing Mike all the pictures you posted, trying to convince him to take the extra time to while he’s overseas. He won’t. He said he’d already seen it vicariously through your trip! HA! Welcome home!!

I think the Castle was amazing… and the bridge! But the castle took us an entire day- and then some on another day as well! It was AMAZING. I also just loved more than anything the Cathedrals… and there are incredible statues everywhere on the various streets that are so old and gorgeous and just breathtaking!! I could go on and on… the new town square is wondrous! And every street has more architecture that just makes you want to stop and gaze at the beauty and detail! I could go on and on!!

Okay- I just spent FIFTEEN MINUTES looking through our FB messages… and I couldn’t find the ‘particular’ conversation….

I KNOW I asked you how far Czech Republic was from you… and you said REALLY FAR- and I said OH BUMMER, I was SO hoping I could see you! Something along those lines!! Uh huh… I mean we could have had THREE DAYS TOGETHER!!!! But you made it seem like it was impossible… too far away. And I did totally understand!! I mean, who travels that far for a few days?

But when you sucker punched me about it- well that isn’t FAIR!!! I would have LOVED to see you- and YOU my dear sweet adorable loving precious snuggable feisty as all hell Lizzi KNOW THAT!!!

LOL ‘how far’ and ‘would have liked’ seem very ‘flight of fancy’ish – if you had just said “Lizzi, is there any way you can get your butt to Prague for three days” THEN we might have gotten somewhere :p

It would have been UH-MAY-ZING! But you know what? I’ll be THERE in a year. (all things going to plan…) so YAY! And in the meantime, there is the meantime to enjoy. *mwah*

I loved seeing your posts and following you around Prague all week. It looks like a place I’m going to need to see someday.
My sister actually met her husband in Prague. She was there for a week with the company she worked for, as was the man she eventually married. They worked for the same company in the same building, but had to go to Prague to meet.
