It’s good to be back…
But it was wonderful to go.
To take those steps into the new, the leaps into the air going far away with my best friend, my love. It was a trip of a lifetime, both random and purposeful. To spend several days alone with my man in a far away city lining streets of beauty and history was a dream come true.
All my prayers for safety and health were abundantly blessed. We are all united under one roof again with tired and contented spirits, full of gratitude for who we are and what we have.
It’s good to be back…
And I hold on to the memories forever.
It was glorious.
But most of all…
It was us.
It was perfect.
I’m so glad you had such a wonderful time! Time away alone together is so important.
Oh thank you SO much sweet friend!! It was truly amazing. I feel so blessed we had this rare opportunity! 🙂
Love this post. That romantic picture is beautiful! My husband is on his way to Poland for work with a colleague who is headed to Prague by way of tacking on some time after the work trip! I kept showing Mike all the pictures you posted, trying to convince him to take the extra time to while he’s overseas. He won’t. He said he’d already seen it vicariously through your trip! HA! Welcome home!!
Ha! That is too funny Cristina!! Such a guy… 🙂
He really needs to see it all in person! He would love it! I’m so glad you enjoyed the pics… you would absolutely LOVE all the gorgeous statues and cathedrals my friend. Amazingly Holy and inspiring history everywhere of the Catholic church. Just breathtaking!!!
Yay!! So glad it was a good trip that nurtured your soul and your marriage! And everyone remained healthy–Praise God!! Love the pictures.
Thank so much my sweet friend!!! I swear it feels like it’s already been YEARS since we went. Sigh… Life.
Aww how romantic! I thought you went with the kiddos! Enjoyed your FB posts! What did you guys enjoy most in Prague? Never been there (never been anywhere!).
I think the Castle was amazing… and the bridge! But the castle took us an entire day- and then some on another day as well! It was AMAZING. I also just loved more than anything the Cathedrals… and there are incredible statues everywhere on the various streets that are so old and gorgeous and just breathtaking!! I could go on and on… the new town square is wondrous! And every street has more architecture that just makes you want to stop and gaze at the beauty and detail! I could go on and on!!

Thanks SO much Jennifer!! I love that your heart is bursting from all the love!! Hold on to it ALWAYS… and keep puttin’ it out there girl. You do it just soooo beautifully!! MWUAH! (Still giddy… 😉 )

It looks amazing! I love to travel and see new places! The history is always fascinating to me!
I love to see new places- especially with such a rich history! It was amazing Michelle!
Awwwwh I LOVE that you had such a marvellous time 🙂 That’s awesome. I’ve been loving all the pictures, AND having you in the same timezone, even if at the wrong edge of it 🙂
I know!!! I swear I felt just *that* much closer to you Lizzi!!!! i just wanted so badly to ‘take a cab’ over to see you!!! Yeah- same time zone but apparently you were farther than I imagined. Sigh…
Ya still could have come to me, ya know…
I DID invite you.
Okay, dude, when and WHERE was this invite, because I swear I NEVER SAW IT. And I would SO HAVE LOVED TO HAVE COME OVER!
But it’s all moot now :'(
I did rather love having you in my timezone though. Even if it was (yes – really a lot) further than ya think.
Okay- I just spent FIFTEEN MINUTES looking through our FB messages… and I couldn’t find the ‘particular’ conversation….
I KNOW I asked you how far Czech Republic was from you… and you said REALLY FAR- and I said OH BUMMER, I was SO hoping I could see you! Something along those lines!! Uh huh… I mean we could have had THREE DAYS TOGETHER!!!! But you made it seem like it was impossible… too far away. And I did totally understand!! I mean, who travels that far for a few days?
But when you sucker punched me about it- well that isn’t FAIR!!! I would have LOVED to see you- and YOU my dear sweet adorable loving precious snuggable feisty as all hell Lizzi KNOW THAT!!!
LOL ‘how far’ and ‘would have liked’ seem very ‘flight of fancy’ish – if you had just said “Lizzi, is there any way you can get your butt to Prague for three days” THEN we might have gotten somewhere :p
It would have been UH-MAY-ZING! But you know what? I’ll be THERE in a year. (all things going to plan…) so YAY! And in the meantime, there is the meantime to enjoy. *mwah*
Crap… now I’m kickin’ the dirt and hissing about the missed opportunity. Pff. But I ASKED HOW CLOSE IT WAS TO YOU!! You should know our Tigger-Kitty language by now! Right?! 😉
SOON…. it’s gonna HAPPEN!!!!!!!! AND? You get to see the goofballs here too!! I mean the kiddos. I swear they talk about you- and cannot WAIT to see you!!!
I am a tigger of very little brains sometimes 😛
YAY to meeting them, and meeting you and HERE’S TO IT ALL GOING AHEAD WONDERFULLY! 😀
Just you. So perfect.
And also so wonderful that you’re back.
Sometimes I can’t figure out if it’s better to go on an adventure, or if it’s better to come back from an adventure, reunited, and with tales to tell and inevitable growth to discover.
I guess.. when I word it like that, coming home!
Well seeing as I HATE and can barely handle transitions… (major anxiety at every turn) I can safely say I love love love-
The in between leaving and coming.
I basked in the moments then. And that was good. 🙂
So glad your trip was such a blessed time for you and your love! God is good!
AW!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see my post here Patty!! You would have LOVED those Cathedrals!!
Love you and MISS YOU!! God IS good!!!
What a gorgeous opportunity for you and your marriage and your kids (to be left at home and still do well while you were gone).
I loved seeing your posts and following you around Prague all week. It looks like a place I’m going to need to see someday.
My sister actually met her husband in Prague. She was there for a week with the company she worked for, as was the man she eventually married. They worked for the same company in the same building, but had to go to Prague to meet.
Thanks Christine!!! And that story? WOW. Just WOW!! It was surely meant to be with your sister and hubs… and just amazing that they had to go all that way to meet! What a great story. 🙂

AW! I love you Janine!! You always have the most beautiful encouraging words…. they always fill my heart UP!! Thanks sweet friend!!
Katie @ Pick Any Two says
Welcome home! So glad you had a wonderful trip, and that all of your prayers for safety were answered exactly as you hoped they’d be.
Thanks Katie!! Such a blessing indeed!! Just dealing with the aftermath now- poison ivy spread all over my daughter’s body (got it at Grandma’s woods) and my ankle that I sprained in August is a mess since walking the streets of Prague and climbing those castle steps!
But still worth every bit of it!! 🙂
Oh I am bursting with joy for you!!! So wonderful and so happy that everything was just perfect for you two! Yeah for romantic getaways to far off places. It looks gorgeous… that architecture! I would just stand in awe.
I did a lot of “Standing in awe” Leslie… a lot of it! Thanks for celebrating this trip with me, my friend!
Welcome home! I followed your pics with great joy. I’d love to visit Prague some day.
Thanks sweet friend!! I love that I could share my journey with you and so many others!! It made it SO much more special! Prague is definitely a great visit for SURE! Get there if/when you can. 🙂

Oh thank you SO much dear friend!!! I love that I got to share it with you along the way!! XOXO
I’m so glad you had such a wonderful trip. My husband and I are going to Nashville for a weekend because we have a wedding to go to and I’m looking forward to the time away with just him. For the past 17 years, I can count on one hand the times I’ve been away with just him so I know how special those days alone can be.
EXACTLY Emily!!! We are going 14 years (in Feb) and the last time we every went anywhere for more than a day and out of our city was the first year we were married! Girl- have a BLAST in Nashville!!!!!!
Wow! Amazing! Beautiful! My folks are there right now. 😉
They are??!! How cool is THAT? I do hope they enjoy it as much as I did!! I’m sure they will be amazed at all the history and beautiful architecture!! 🙂

Oh girlfriend- no cheesy-ness ANYWHERE around here!!! I LOVE that you teared up!!! The first pic was from the airplane on the WAY to Prague. The second pic- on the airplane on the way home. 🙂
looks like it was a lot of fun. it is nice to get some vacation time with just each other sometimes.
It was just awesome, Mike! We haven’t had time together on a trip since the first year we were married!!

Oh Chris! I’m so happy that it was wonderful and amazing. And just you. And Prague. I’ve heard that Prague and Stockholm are similar in that they are both set on so much water… it’s a place I’ve always wanted to go because Stockholm is one of my favorite visits EVER. I’m so happy about your trip!
