There is a whirlwind of momentum around the internet, with voices rising to shine light on compassion. I am honored to be a part of this mission, and will gladly share a piece on February 20th- THE day chosen for the words to be set ablaze all over the world, through beautiful bloggers and inspiring souls. I’ve written more details about this powerful force of good here, if you haven’t been made aware.
Today, I am over at 1 Corinthians 13 Parenting, sharing another piece about compassion. As a mother, there is only one thing more important to me, than teaching my kids to have a heart for God. It’s raising my kids to have a heart LIKE God.
My children are learning what that truly means, through role modeling, prayer, service and scripture. If we take the time and effort to invest in our kids- this fine art of compassion… will rise up as we raise them.
How do you instill compassion in your children’s lives, their hearts? I am sharing 4 ways that I have been able to instill a heart for God and like God in my kids. Come take a look, and let me know how you teach your children about this most powerful gift of living.
It takes a village of voices, to reach the lost, the broken, the wounded and needy. Our village is not only full of adults, but budding tiny villagers ready and willing to rise and join the world with their hearts as well. How do we train them, teach them, help them become aware of and tend to those in need?
They are the next generation of givers of good, carriers of light, healers of pain, servants for the suffering, voices for the victims. Let us show them the way, shall we?
