Facing Surgery For The Holidays? A Book To Help You Through Recovery

November 22, 2016 By momcafe 14 Comments

As you gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving and you spend time with family and friends throughout the upcoming holiday season, I am betting that you might have someone you love facing an upcoming surgery. November and December are popular times to schedule surgery, as people’s deductibles are met and insurance benefits are at their best. If you know of someone who is planning an upcoming surgery, may I suggest you share my book with them?

A resource for women recovering from injury, illness, or surgery.

Better yet…

Give it to them as a gift.

I know for me, every Christmas season I reflect on the past surgeries I have had during this time. I remember how difficult it was to recover while missing out on all the special events and celebrations. I know how it feels to be stuck in a place of confinement and pain, while the rest of the world is alive with wonder and excitement. Having any kind of injury, surgery, or illness isn’t easy, and experiencing this difficult road during the “The most wonderful time of the year” can be downright brutal.

Instead of actively participating in it all, you are struggling to manage the pain of recovery and the exhaustion of healing.

Being in pain is so very hard, and managing your healing while the spirit of the holidays surrounds you, can be discouraging and often depressing.

I believe my book can help.

Today I am announcing the new option to purchase my book on Kindle! Although I personally am a paper girl and honestly believe my book works best in that format due to the writing exercises and visual appeal, I am thrilled to offer this option for those who are comfortable with the Kindle experience.

I have adapted my book to offer the reader two options in completing the writing exercises included in the book. The reader can either use her own personal journal, or print out the worksheet pages formatted for printing found in the back of the book. With these adaptations, I believe the Kindle option can be just as beneficial to those in need of encouragement, support, and inspiration during their recovery process.

I am offering it for the low price of 2.99! You can find the new Kindle version of “Help and Hope While You’re Healing: A woman’s guide toward wellness while recovering from injury, surgery, or illness” HERE.

Help me help women who need someone to walk alongside them during a very vulnerable and challenging time in their lives, would you?

Share my book with anyone who may need a friend who’s been there.

Love, love, love that Kindle is now an option. I like you tend to love the real, paper copy for most books, but still understand the reason for Kindle (ebooks) and use them often myself. That said will definitely keep your book in mind for holiday gifting and will pass along to friends and family, as well now, Chris <3

Sadly, this is me. I have to have surgery to repair the fracture in my neck at the beginning of the month. I’m nervous, and scared and I don’t really want to do it, but I also don’t want to not do something my doctor says I need to do, especially since he’s been trying to avoid it for the past few years. I’ll be out of commission for most of the month, if not all of it. ๐Ÿ™
