Do you ever get overwhelmed? Things pile up and you start to twist a little tighter as the ever growing “To Do” list doesn’t get done?
Sometimes, things happen and life takes on a different turn and priorities shift and that list gets put in the drawer- on the back burner would be dangerous- so we’ll go with in the drawer. You may keep scribbling down more on that list in a fleeting ‘grab and write’ on the way out the door or perhaps you have it all in your head or on your phone.
So many things to get done.
It never ends, right?
I’ve shared about my anxiety, and this is often a constant struggle for me especially when I feel over-loaded with too much I need to do. I have learned a few coping strategies to deal with the stress, but I often need to be reminded of God’s view into my life and what’s most important to Him. How does my day and all these things I need to do fit into His Plan? Are these things on my list that important to cause me THIS much angst? When I finally have the time to start tackling that list, I first pray. I must. I never know where to begin when there is too much to do, so I ask God.
This perspective shifts things for me. My lens grows wider and my heart softens and my pulse slows down. I ask God what He wants me to do with this time I have. I ask Him to guide me in my list and show me what is most important to Him.
I wrote more about this topic on a wonderful site called “Her View From Home”. If you haven’t been over there, you simply must check out their articles. This beautiful site is packed with amazing content and gorgeous messages to soak in. You will surely be inspired and encouraged by their posts. I love the variety of topics that are shared, written by many different writers contributing to their mission. Would you join me over there? I would absolutely love it if you would like it and share it with others online, if you find it helpful or encouraging in any way. This one means a lot to me, and I do hope it speaks to you if you are often overwhelmed.
Thank you, dear friends!
Let’s pace ourselves this week, okay? That’s my plan. I believe it might be His plan for me too…

My head gets a full list as well as writing it down. Funny thing though is the more I put on the less, the less I do. Overwhelmed or just stubbornly refusing from feeling tied down? Not sure but will hop over to the other place!

It’s such a battle, isn’t it? There are days I wish I had no LIST to go by. The pressure can be too much- but shifting my perspective changes everything. <3

Oh you are speaking my language, my friend. I constantly hear myself saying, “I’m so overwhelmed.” I even catch myself starting the day with that awful little phrase. Headed over to check out the rest of this!
